Import transactions from CSV and export transactions to CSV.

Move your transaction history in and out of this app with plain CSV files. Files are read and written entirely in this browser: there is no upload, no sign-in, no server call and no network access. Imported transactions are appended and appear straight away on the transactions page, and exported files use the headers date, amount, account, category and description.

Import transactions from a CSV file

The file is read on this device only. Columns are matched by name, so date, amount, account, category and description are recognised, plus an optional type. Missing accounts and categories are created automatically, and negative amounts count as expenses.

Up to 2 MB and 5000 data rows per file. Nothing is uploaded.

No file selected yet.

0 transactions saved in this browser.

Export transactions to CSV

Save a copy of every transaction as a CSV file. Expenses are written as negative amounts so the file can be imported again unchanged.

Columns: dateamountaccountcategorydescription

No transactions are saved yet, so the exported file would be empty.

CSV format example

The first row holds the column names. Extra columns are ignored, and account or category names that do not exist yet are created for you during import.
